On behalf of the Dubai Airshow organisers – thanks for the feedback and useful comments. As the Airshow team has just 12 full time employees we did our best to twitter and update websites with a far too small team of people. If social networking really takes off we will look to invest in this for future shows, but do bear in mind, as over 80% of our attendees and indeed press are from the middle east where social networking is not very popular we use the regional dailies as our main media source. But all good info so thanks!

One correction. As the guy who runs the Things With Wings Twitter account, I can say with deep conviction that I did not “[alert] everyone about the great photos he was taking.” I posted links to various elements of our Dubai coverage, including to our main landing page, The Dubai Blog, individual stories, and the Commercial, Defense and BizAv galleries where photos by Mike Vines were being posted.
